Landmine Kills United Nations Peacekeeper in Mali

A United Nations peacekeeper on mission in Mali, has been killed by a landmine blasts.


 
The United Nations has revealed that one of its peacekeeper was killed in Mali by a landmine on Tuesday.

According to the peacekeeping mission (MINUSMA), the mine detonated under a vehicle travelling in a convoy to Timbuktu and killed a civilian member of the mission.

The MINUSMA made this revelation in Bamako the Malian capital on Wednesday, November 25.

The mission said this underlined the persistent insecurity in the country four days after Islamist militants attacked a luxury hotel in the capital Bamako.
