A man was killed in a fracas involving two secret cult groups in the South-West area of Nigeria who engaged in a gun duel within the premises of an hotel.

There was a gun battle on Thursday night between yet to be identified rival cult groups, and at the end, one person was shot dead in a popular hotel in Lagos State, according to P.M news.
The incident which happened at about 10pm at a popular hotel located in Akesan area also left several other people injured. The police from Igando division have recovered the corpse of the unidentified victim and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy report .
It was gathered that a group of young men suspected to be cult members were in the hotel for a meeting when members of a rival cult group invaded the place and shot randomly.
Both the hotel workers and the group that was having meeting there scampered for safety and in the process sustained injuries while one person lost his life. Sources at the station confirmed the incident and said the police have commenced investigation.
At the hotel, one of the workers who refused to identify himself , confirmed the incident and directed a reporter to Igando police station for further information.
