As students prepare to return to school across Nigeria, a sad development has happened in a public school in Borno state after a classroom meant for teaching and learning was turned into a poultry farm.

In some photos shared by a Twitter user, Olusegun Iselaiye on his page, a school was made into a poultry farm in an area in Borno state.

In the photos, desks and chairs used for learning are seen arranged into a corner as room is being made for the habitation of livestock. Tools naturally being used in a poultry farm are being utilized in the classroom that was initially built for learning.

Social media users have condemned the act calling on the government to act immediately as they ponder about the fate of educational institutions after the pandemic.
