Former Sokoto state governor, Attahiru Bafarawa has stated that he received N4.6 billion from embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki for “spiritual purposes," according to The Herald.

It was gathered that security agents are still questioning the former governor to explain what he meant by “spiritual purposes.”

The report further quoted a source as saying that ex governor Peter Odili and Bode George may soon be invited to explain why they received N100 million each from funds budgeted for arms purchase.

We had earlier reported that Peter Odili and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bode George, allegedly received the sum of N100 million each from the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

It was gathered that the money was paid to them so as to ensure the re-election of former President, Goodluck Jonathan, who lost the presidential election held on March 28, 2015.
