Wife of Nigerian Ebola Survivor Delivers a Healthy Baby in Lagos Hospital (Photos)

The wife of Dr. Adewale Adejoro, a Nigerian Ebola survivor, has safely delivered a healthy Ebola-free baby girl today at First Consultant Medical Centre, Lagos.

 
Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri the Medical Director at First Consultant Medical Centre, Lagos, has announced today that Opeyemi J. Adejoro, the wife of Dr. Adewale Adejoro, a Nigerian Ebola survivor, has safely delivered a healthy Ebola-free baby girl at 7.24pm on Tuesday, 1st December 2015.
 
Weighing 3kg at birth, the baby girl, a product of a term gestation was delivered following strict guidelines and recommendations from the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), USA, through the pre-natal and delivery stages.
 
 
It was a very happy moment for the staff and supporters of the Hospital who sadly lost members of its team during the Ebola outbreak in Nigeria.
 
It can be recalled that in November 2015, First Consultant Medical Centre celebrated another Ebola survivor, Dr. Ada Igonoh’s safe delivery of a baby girl in the United States.
