According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease, 304 new cases of the COVID-19 virus has been confirmed in the country.

304 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday August 2, as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

A breakdown of the new cases across states is as follows; Lagos-81, FCT-39, Abia-31, Kaduna-24, Rivers-23, Plateau-16, Cross River-13, Ebonyi-12, Ondo-12, Ekiti-11, Edo-11, Benue-10, Nasarawa-10, Ogun-6, Gombe-5.

There are now 43,841 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country and 888 deaths have been recorded. 20,308 patients who recovered from the disease have been discharged.
