Here are five things about the late FBG Duck and the shocking situation that you should know.

FBG Duck

On August 4, rising rapper Carlton Weekly professionally known as FBG Duck was shot in his hometown of Chicago and rushed to the city’s Northwestern Hospital.

He was later confirmed dead at the age of 26 by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

FBG Duck was pronounced dead today at 5:06 p.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

The rapper was reportedly one of three people who were shot in a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood on the afternoon of August 4.

Here are five things about the late FBG Duck and the shocking situation that you should know.

Chicago roots

FBG Duck is fro Chicago and began to hit the spotlight as a member of the rap group Fly Boy Gang, which is where the abbreviation “FBG” in his name came from, aka Clout Boyz. The members of the group are from Chicago and mostly from the Gangster Disciples, a gang from the South Side of Chicago that was started in the 1960s. They include FBG Duck, Lil Jay, Cashout, Billionaire Black, Young Mello, and Dutchie.

Social media

The late rapper kept fans up to date with his life and career through social media especially Instagram. Asides posting about new music and live appearances, he also shares a glimpse into his personal life. On his 26th birthday on December 6, he shared two photos and thanked God for the special day.

Fatherhood

Asides being a rapper, he is also a father. In an April 12 post on social media, he shared a photo of his daughter smiling and holding a stuffed monkey toy in an Apr. 12 post. “My Baby Girl Getting Big On Me Daddy Love You With Every Bone & My Body #DADDYGIRL #MYPRINCESS,” he wrote in the caption.

Shootings

In 2018, he denied rumours that he was shot in the shoulder. In an Instagram story, he stated in a video that he wasn’t involved in any shooting. “Y’All Say Anything On The Internet,” he captioned the clip. He also later told VLADTV that he didn’t like the fact that the internet thinks it knows things he’s involved in before the truth is even confirmed.
