Minister Of Power, Sale Mamman Confirms Nigeria Attained A New Record Peak Generation Of 5,377.8MW Of Electricity

Sale Mamman said the new record peak generation of 5,377.8MW of electricity was successfully evacuated to distribution load centres.

The Nigerian Minister of Power, Sale Mamman on Thursday August 6 confirmed that Nigeria attained a new record peak generation of 5,377.8MW of electricity.

 It was reported earlier that the new record was achieved on August 1. This surpasses the previous 5,375MW recorded on the national grid in 2019 and shows an increase of 2.8MW.

Sale Mamman said the new record peak generation of 5,377.8MW of electricity was successfully evacuated to distribution load centres.

He Tweeted;

"On the 1st of Aug 2020 the National Grid made history, by attaining a new record peak generation of 5,377.8MW of Electricity which was successfully evacuated to distribution load centers. Kudos to all involved. We are constantly striving to make Electricity better for Nigerians".
