An innocent prank by three boys turned ugly after the act resulted in the death of 15 persons and many others injured in the terrible car crash.

Three pranksters were arrested after causing an accident that claimed 15 lives. The three boys allegedly threw two large rocks in the middle of the Harare-Nyamapanda highway.
The boys aged 12, 14 and 16 years old, were arrested by police in Kotwa, after one of them confessed to having thrown the rocks onto the road. Police revealed that the boys had accompanied a relative to a bus station on Friday night, and while playing around, the boys pushed the two large rocks in the middle of the road.
The accident occurred around 11:20 p.m., when a bus crashed into the rocks and hit another bus. The bus then swerved into the opposite lane, where it collided head on with a bus that had 16 passengers on board. Police said that 13 people, including the driver of the bus, died instantly.
Twenty people were injured and rushed to a hospital. Two more people died while being transferred to Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare. Four people were unharmed.
Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi confirmed the three arrests and said that the investigation is ongoing.
