Nigeria Records 423 New Cases Of Coronavirus As Total Cases Escalates To 47,290

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, 423 new cases of the coronavirus has been confirmed in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has reported 423 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria on Tuesday, August 11.

Of the new cases, Lagos recorded the highest number with 117 followed by Abuja with 40 new cases.

Other states with new cases include Ondo and Rivers states with 35 and 28 cases respectively. Osun State witnessed 24 more cases, Benue – 21, Abia – 19, Ogun – 19, Ebonyi – 18, Delta and Kwara – 17 each, Kaduna and Anambra recorded 15 and 14 cases respectively, Ekiti – 11, Kano – 9, Imo – 6, Gombe – 4, Oyo – 3, Bauchi – 1, Edo – 1 and Nasarawa – 1.

Nigeria now has 47,290 confirmed cases of the virus with 33,609 patients discharged so far. Sadly, 956 deaths have so far been recorded.
