Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu Enters Guinness Book of Records

Ibe Kachikwu has made it into the reputable Guinness book of records under conditions many have termed as laughable.

Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, has entered the Guinness Book of Records as the shortest serving president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countres, OPEC.
 
The news of his replacement hit the headlines on Saturday, 5th of December and it came as a shock to many Nigerians.

On Wednesday 2 December, 2015, Kachikwu became OPEC president to replace Diezani Alison-Madueke. On Friday 4 December, he attended the 168th ordinary meeting of the organisation in Vienna Austria, his first meeting at the helm.

Same day, a fresh election was conducted. Mohammed Al Sada was elected to succeed him as the president.
