A People's Democratic Party agent was allegedly killed during the election crisis that rocked the southern Ijaw, Bayelsa state yesterday.

The People's Democratic Party expressed gratitude to the people of Bayelsa for standing their ground to make sure the party triumphed, despite the murder of their party agent.

PDP shared a photo of the murdered party agent on Twitter via the official PDP Nigeria handle. The election in the southern Ijaw was marred with intense violence with more graphic pictures contained in our earlier report.

The election in Ijaw South has been cancelled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC with the gubernatorial election declared inconclusive.
