'We Are Sorry, We Misled Nigerians' - FG Apologises Over Order Asking Nigerians to Re-register Accounts

The federal government has apologised to Nigerians over a recent misleading tweet about re-registering accounts.

Following serious backlash from Nigerians, the federal government has deleted a tweet and also apologized after ordering Nigerians to re-register their accounts.
 
Recall that the controversial order left many Nigerians panting and calling the government unprintable names for trying to make things more difficult in this pandemic period.
 
In a tweet this morning, the federal government apologized saying its tweet was misleading. 
 
@NigeriaGov tweeted:
 
'We apologize for the misleading tweets (now deleted) that went up yesterday, regarding the completion of self-certification forms by Reportable Persons. The message contained in the 
@firsNigeria
 
 Notice does not apply to everybody. FIRS will issue appropriate clarification shortly."
