The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has recorded 198 new cases of the COVID-19 virus in the country.

195 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria on Monday, September 21.

According to statistics released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos reported 39 cases while the FCT recorded 15 fresh cases.

Other states with new cases include Enugu – 51, Gombe – 40, Plateau – 23, Rivers – 12, Kaduna –8, Ondo – 3, Bauchi – 2, Edo and Ogun each reporting 1 case.

48,674 patients have been effectively treated and discharged since the initial outbreak of the virus on February 27 2020. 1,100 deaths have so far been recorded.
