Apparently, Buruji Kashamu will not be committing suicide, neither will the NDLEA be extraditing him to the USA. The Federal High Court has stopped any law enforcement body from arresting the Senator-elect.

The alleged drug-baron has emerged victorious after an on and off battle with the NDLEA.

Buruji Kashamu who won a seat among other Senators, will not be arrested and extradited to the United states, for now.

PREMIUM TIMES reports that Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High court in Lagos has barred the Nigeria Police, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the State Security Service, and the Nigerian Customs Service from arresting and extraditing the Senate-elect.

Justice Abang said the agencies must comply with the letters of the Extradition Act if they must arrest or extradite the fugitive lawmaker-elect.

Kashamu had locked in his house since Saturday morning when NDLEA operatives stormed his home.
