Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and deputy, Agboola Ajayi

Agboola Ajayi, the deputy governor of Ondo state has alleged that the Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu is planning to forge his signature on an already prepared resignation letter.

Speaking through his Media Adviser Allen Sowore, Ajayi stated that he has no plans to resign from office.

The Deputy Governor who stressed that he he was elected alongside Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for a four-year mandate which will end on 23rd February, 2021, urged the general public to be wary of the latest antics and desperation of Governor Akeredolu to remove him by all means and at any cost illegally.

He Said;

"The people of Ondo State, who voted for Agboola Ajayi as Deputy Governor in 2016 have not ask him to resign or quit the government.

“Therefore, he has no reason whatsoever to relinquish the people’s mandate, which of course is limited by term/time, democratically bestowed upon him.”

Reacting to the allegation, Governor Akeredolu stated that Ajayi's signature is too insignificant to be forged.

Akeredolu Said;

“All the same, one does not accept anything less from a thoroughly beaten and politically minimized egocentric being.

“This is not the first time he would unveil untruths not only about others but about himself too. Forgery cannot, and has never been part of this Government.

“Those whose identities are shrouded in such are already a distance away from the Government led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN. They know themselves.

“His signature is too insignificant now, and even beyond today, to be forged. It’s not in the character of Mr. Governor or anyone in the Government he heads.”
