The Nigerian Army described the reports as “Fake News” and stated that none of its officers was at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday.

Nigerian Army Denies Involvement In Toll Gate Shooting

Following the shootings and massacre at peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos, the Nigerian Army has denied any involvement in the shooting.

There were reports of massive shooting by men in military uniforms at protesters on Tuesday evening at the Lekki Toll Gate including panic videos shared from the scene.

However, the Nigerian Army described the reports as “Fake News” and stated that none of its officers was at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday.

A brief response from the Nigerian Army read: “No soldiers were at the scene.”
