A house maid has been charged to court after she planned with some outsiders to rob her employer of her jewelry.
Hope Hazhi, a 28 year old housemaid has been arraigned in the Tinubu Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for reportedly stealing her employer’s jewelry worth N15 million.
Hazhi who resides at Akpako House, Ipare area of Lekki, Lagos, was charged with a two-count of conspiracy and stealing as levelled against her by the police.
The prosecutor in the case, ASP Chidi Okoye, told the court that the Hazhi’s accomplices were still on the run after she connived with them to rob her employers on April 30 at their residnce at 10, Susan Oji Street, Ikota Royal Estate, Ajah, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and Magistrate Abimbola Awogboro admitted her to bail in the sum of N500,000 while the case was adjourned to June 29 for hearing.
