Ole Miss star defensive lineman, Robert Nkemdiche fell 15 feet out of a window at an Atlanta hotel on Saturday. He's now being charged with Marijuana possession by the Atlanta Police Department.
Nigerian-American footballer, Robert Nkemdiche who currently attends the University of Mississippi in his junior year, unbelievably came out with only minor injuries after taking a 15-foot plunge from a hotel window in Atlanta on Saturday.
The defensive lineman who was high, reportedly broke the window of his 4th-floor hotel room, walked about 15 feet, climbed over a wall and fell 15 feet.
Fortunately, when Atlanta police found Nkemdiche, he was conscious and breathing with only minor bruises. He was then transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
On Monday, the Atlanta Police Department reported they found "seven rolled marijuana cigarettes" in the room from which Nkemdiche fell. He has been charged with marijuana possession as a result of his fall.
TMZ Sports shared details from the 911 call from the incident, where the woman who placed the call said Nkemdiche "didn't seem coherent, he seemed like he was delirious."
According to the incident report released Monday, police say Nkemdiche went through his hotel room window onto a ledge that encircles the building. He then fell from that ledge to the ground.
The junior is a key piece of the Ole Miss defense, finishing the 2015 season with 29 tackles and three sacks. He's widely expected to be a top-10 pick in the 2016 draft if he forgoes his senior season and will be vital to Ole Miss' hopes of winning the Sugar Bowl.
Nkemdiche is a unique talent and physical specimen, and he has been a major factor in the Rebels' resurgence in the SEC the past three years.
