A 36-year-old Nigerian woman whose four-year-old son was found dead has been charged with murder in the UK.
Oluwakemi Badare, is currently been accused of allegedly drowning and killing Kingswealth Bayode at her home in Plumstead, south-east London.
According to reports, the child was reportedly discovered “lifeless” on Sunday, December 27.
Badare is being held at Bronzefield Prison and was represented by a lawyer for the 10-minute administrative hearing at the Old Bailey last week.
The court was told that emergency services arrived at the scene on Sunday by 8:00 am shortly after they were called where the boy was found dead.
However, she was arrested at the scene and taken into custody before being charged to court where she subsequently appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Judge Anthony Leonard QC listed the case for a plea hearing on March 17 and Badare will be remanded in custody until hearing.
