Some residents in the highly-priced Lekki area of Lagos have been thrown into a state of panic as fire guts a commercial building named Lekki SPAR.

Tweets by residents of the area indicate that the fire outbreak commenced a few minutes ago and calls have been made to firefighters to rescue the situation before it destroys the entire supermarket. Lekki SPAR is a popular spot heavily patronized by people in the area.
It wasn't it clear if the accident was ameliorated by government officials or residents as at the time of reporting it.
