Excitement As 76-year-old Blind Man Regains Sight After An Igbo Group Paid For His Eye Surgery

An Igbo group called “Igbo love themselves charity foundation” in Onitsha, contributed money for the surgery of a 76-year-old blind man identified as Mr Simon Okoye.

 

 76-year-old Blind Man Regains Sight After An Igbo Group Contributed For His Eye Surgery

A Twitter user shared a heartwarming story of how an Igbo group paid the expenses for a blind man’s eye surgery in Ontisha, Anambra State.

According to the user with the username @theVyrus, he said that the notion that Igbos don’t love themselves is not true.

He revealed that an Igbo group called “Igbo love themselves charity foundation” in Onitsha, contributed money for the surgery of a 76-year-old blind man identified as Mr Simon Okoye.

He said that Okoye has been blind for 9 years but regains his sight after the surgery was performed. He also revealed that the money contributed was N160,000 with other expenses.
