In a statement released by Buhari's Head of media team, Garba Shehu, he stated that he hasn't ban anyone form traveling and no official from the past administration should be harassed.
Contrary to popular believe, the President, Muhammadu Buhari has ordered all agencies under the government not to subject anybody, particularly assumed corrupted officials of the past administration, to any undue harassment.
Buhari made this statement in connection to reports that some officials of Jonathan government are being stopped at the airports.
According to a statement released by Buhari’s Head of media team, Garba Shehu, he said he did not ban anyone form traveling.
The President said all the agencies must respect due process and run their affairs in full compliance with extant rules, regulations and the constitution of the country.
“Unless otherwise directed by the courts, no law-abiding citizens should be barred from traveling abroad. We must treat fellow citizens with courtesy and respect. Officials at the borders and other points of entry and exit should conduct their affairs in strict compliance with due process. No one has my permission to bar anyone from traveling abroad,” the president said.
