The incarcerated leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria has allegedly lost some of his sons to encounters with security operatives.

Leader of the Shia movement, Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky lost three of his children during an altercation that involved the security operatives in June 2014 while holding a protest for a Palestinian cause.
Zakzaky's sons - Ahmad, Hamid, Mahmoud along with 33 members of the sect were reportedly killed by men of the Nigerian army last year following a clash.
Unconfirmed reports also have it that he lost more of his sons recently in the
Zaria, Kaduna confrontation with the operatives of the Nigerian army.
It was learned that they visited after vacation from school outside Nigeria before they were caught up in the ensuing incident.
Allegedly only one son, Muhammad, and two sisters are alive today.
