It was a night of embarrassment for star comedian, Steve Harvey as his gaffe nearly ruined the night at Miss Universe 2015.

It was awful, pretty awkward at the Miss Universe 2015 as the wrong person was crowned winner. The horrific mistake was made by star comedian and host, Steve Harvey. The embarrassing moment reduced people to tears as the crown was removed from the wrong winner and handed to another.

It was Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo who felt the shock and embarrassment most as she was wrongly announced as the winner before the crown was taken away from her and given to Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. She was already crying and waving to the audience at the ceremony in Las Vegas, decked out in the winner’s crown and sash.

The crown was then taken off Arevalo’s head and placed directly onto Wurtzbach’s. It was a brutal assault and could have killed anyone. Harvey, an American comedian and star of the 90s programme ‘The Steve Harvey Show’, also took to Twitter to apologise for the gaffe.
