A source has revealed that the abductors of Goodluck Jonathan cousins have contacted the families five days after they were taken and made a N50 million demand.

You would recall that two cousins of Goodluck Jonathan were kidnapped a few days before he handed over power to President Buhari.

The Kidnappers have reached the former President's family and have reportedly demanded N50million ransom for their release.

The victims, Patience Egbeni and Kate Eni, were abducted by unknown gunmen at about 8.30am at riverbank of Akempli in bayelsa on May 20.

It was gathered that their abductors contacted their families five days after they were whisked away and made the N50 million demand.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Butswat Asinim, confirmed to Punch that the former president’s relatives are yet to be released, adding that he is unaware of the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.

But a youth leader in Ogbia was said to have confirmed the ransom.

“They called and demanded N50m ransom. The families are still negotiating with the kidnappers,” the unidentified source said.
