A fatal road accident which occurred this morning in Lagos has left two electric poles destroyed and the fence of a building totally condemned.
A fatal accident involving a LandCruiser jeep along Adekunle Fajuyi street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, has left two electric pole destroyed before it rammed into the fence of a building.
The car was carrying people going for the Christmas festivities when the accident happened.
According to an online source, the accident was caused as a result of over-speeding despite the announcements and warnings sounded by the Federal Road Safety Corps on the need to limit speeding during the festive period to avoid accidents and loss of live, many people have continued to pay deaf ears. However, it cannot be confirmed if anybody died in the accident but the car was totally condemned.
People have been warned to drive with care during this festive period so as to minimize the risk of accidents. The FRSC also has warned people not to drive under the influence of alcohol and to reduce speeding.
