German football manager and Dortmund coach, Jurgen Klopp, has confirmed that he will take a break from football when he departs the club this summer.
The 47- year old football manager revealed in April that he would be departing the German side but has been linked to multiple jobs, including Liverpool and Real Madrid.
However the coach, who finished his tenure with Dortmund in a 3-1 defeat to Wolfsburg in the DFB Pokal final last weekend, will be stepping away from the game to assess his future.
"After seven intense and emotional years, I think it's a good idea to let the numerous memories settle in before I take on a new challenge with my coaching team, refreshed and fully motivated," Klopp said in a statement published by Germany's SID agency."
"I'm going to take a break until further notice." Klopp
