Buhari is set for his first media chat tomorrow, Wednesday the 29th of December during which he will entertain questions from journalists.

Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari will hold his maiden media chat on Wednesday at the State House, Abuja according to Premium Times.

Sources at the Villa said the chat, slated for 7pm, would be aired live on some television and radio stations as well as other platforms. Mr. Buhari has come under severe criticisms lately due to his frequent patronage of foreign media since assumption of office on May 29 this year.

The president often made important policy statements whenever he travels on official engagements outside the country.

It was observed that during the past administration, Nigerians were asked to forward questions to the president or call the chat room, but the telephone lines were perpetually put on busy mode, while the questions sent through social media platforms were hardly considered.

It is not clear if the media chat by Mr. Buhari on Wednesday would accept calls from the public, apart from a panel of journalists.
