Notorious ATM Fraudster Nabbed With 1.6M

The suspect is being accused of defrauding people who cannot operate ATMs while pretending to assist them.

Police operatives have nabbed a suspected fraudster with the sum of N1.5 million and several ATM cards belonging to different people.

Aliyu Abdullahi, who hails from Kasuwar-Mata in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State, is being accused of defrauding people who cannot operate ATMs while pretending to assist them.

The suspect confessed to committing the crime and admitted to have duped his unsuspecting victims not less than N1.5million using their ATM cards.

The spokesman Katsina State Police, Isah Gambo, while parading the alleged fraudster before newsmen at the Police Command on Monday disclosed that “the suspect specializes in exchanging his ATM cards with that of his victim’s in the name of helping them.”

Isah Gambo also said charms, several ATM cards, four cartons of spaghetti, four bottles of juice and over N1.6 million of victims money were recovered from the alleged fraudster.
