Following the loss of the Flying Eagles in their first game of the ongoing FIFA Under-20 World Cup to Brazil 4-2 in New Zealand in the early hours of Monday,June 1, Head Coach, Manu Garba, has stressed that the team will fight hard for a comeback.
The Flying Eagles are to take on North Korea on Thursday, June 4, before battling Hungary in a final Group E game at the weekend.
Manu said: “It was a very disappointing result but I never expected us to lose so woefully to Brazil,”
“Two of the goals were goalkeeping errors and should not happen in such a competition like the World Cup.
“Even their second goal to draw the game level at 2-2 should not have been allowed by the defenders. We made a lot of mistakes in this game. But we will win our next two games to be back in contention in this tournament,” stressed the 2013 FIFA Under-17 winning coach".
