Commercial Motorcyclists On The Rampage After Police Shot Dead Colleague Over N100 In Delta

Some Okada riders have burnt a vehicle, and tyres in the middle of the road to protest the killing of their colleague.

According to SaharaReporters, a police officer has allegedly shot dead a commercial motorcyclist, popularly called Okada man, at a police post close to Free Indeed Church in the Udu area of Delta State.

It was learnt that the police shot the rider over one hundred naira (N100) bribe.

Some Okada riders have burnt a vehicle, and tyres in the middle of the road to protest the killing of their colleague.

The demonstrators have also threatened to burn down Ovwian Police Station.

However, it was gathered that the policemen in the station had fled before the arrival of some soldiers who came to protect the station.
