The federal lawmaker before decamping before dumping the Peoples Democratic Party had earlier been suspended by the Delta state chapter of the PDP.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has decamped to the All Progressives Congress.
 
The federal lawmaker before dumping the Peoples Democratic Party had earlier been suspended by the Delta state chapter of the PDP following allegations of anti-party activities.
 
He was suspended for one month on Wednesday, June 23.
 
Buhari Sallau, a personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on broadcast media, shared photos showing Nwaoboshi meeting President Muhammadu Buhari after joining the APC.
 
Nwaoboshi met Buhari alongside the national caretaker chairman of the APC and Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni.
 
The deputy president of the Senate and lawmaker representing Delta Central, Ovie Omo-Agege was also present as Senator Nwaoboshi met the president.
