Policemen are no longer going to be harassing citizens in mobile phone search as the inspector general of police has stepped in to the matter.

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has henceforth banned policemen from searching people's mobile phones, protecting rights to private and family life.
The order came in a circular passed across by Abayomi Shogunle, Officer in Charge of Complaint Response Unit of the force using his twitter handle.
