FOX planning a spin-off of the hit series '24' but without Jack Bauer playing the lead role.
For lovers of the FOX hit TV series '24', a new report has revealed that a spin-off is in the pipeline.
Normally, this should be good news but fans of the show will be a little bit disappointed to know that the lead protagonist, Jack Bauer, will not be playing the role.
After playing the role of Jack Bauer in the last nine episodes, Kiefer Sutherland will be rested for the spin-off, but TVLine is reporting that it will maintain the signature "real-time" format and follow a new, less-seasoned male terrorist hunter in his twenties.
The announcement was recently made by executive producer, Howard Gordon.
Meanwhile, it has been speculated that the fan-favorite series veteran could appear as a guest star in a number of episodes.
Will FOX be able to pull this off without the touch of Jack Bauer? Only time will tell.
