A 20-year-old man identified as Hamza Bulama Kailu has been arrested by operatives of the Jigawa State police force for allegedly drugging and sodomising a minor in Gumel Local Government.
Police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the arrest.
He told DAILY POST that the incident happened on Sunday at Kofar Saja quarters in Gumel.
He disclosed that the suspect took a 12-year-old boy into his friend’s house and forcefully had carnal knowledge of him.
Adam explained that the suspect allegedly used dangerous drugs inside a soft drink to drug his victim.
He said as a result, the victim fell asleep and the suspect later forcefully had a carnal knowledge of him through his anus.
The police spokesman said the suspect was arrested and the victim was taken to sexual referral center Dutse for medical examination.
