According to fresh reports filtering in, an official of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, has been shot dead today.

 

NFF Head of Protocol, Ibrahim Abubakar

 

The Glass House Head of Protocol, Ibrahim Abubakar was shot dead by armed robbers in his house in Abuja in the early hours of today, Wednesday, January 6.

 

The Federation announced the tragic news on Twitter, stating on it's handle:

 

"The NFF @thenff: NFF's Head of Protocol Ibrahim Abubakar was shot dead by armed robbers in his house in Abuja in the early hours of today. 1/2"

 

The circumstances of his murder is yet to be disclosed by the football regulating body.
