Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has won at the Supreme Court today.

This comes after the Supreme Court struck out the suit of Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP challenging the election of Akeredolu as Governor of Ondo State.

The court held that Akeredolu’s victory in the October 10th, 2020 Gubernatorial elections stands.

In the majority judgment delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim, four of the seven-member panel, dismissed the appeal by Eyitayo Jegede and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the grounds that it was incompetent.
