A 5-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was brutally raped in the anus by a 25-year-old man in Lagos.

Doctors at a private hospital in Alakuko area of Lagos State are currently doing all they can to save his life.
According to a source, it was gathered that the boy (names withheld) was playing with other children at Hanson Street when the suspect (names withheld) reportedly lured him with a packet of biscuit, took the boy into his apartment, where he allegedly sodomised him.
Eyewitnesses said the boy’s cry attracted curious neighbours, who noticed that his pants were stained with blood. On closer observation it was discovered that blood was gushing out from his anus.
The surprised and stunned eyewitnesses asked what happened, the boy reportedly mentioned the suspect’s name. Angry eyewitnesses rushed to the man's house and apprehended him before handing him over to the police.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed the incident, said the case had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja.
