A misunderstanding led to physical combat where the suspect allegedly used his leg and hit his brother’s wife at her stomach and as a result she fell down.

Danjuma Haruna, a 25-year-old man, has allegedly killed his brother’s wife at Gamatan village, in Miga local Government area of Jigawa State.
Police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.
He said the incident happened on Tuesday evening after a misunderstanding between the suspect and his brother’s wife one Zuwaira Bala, 25-year-old at their compound in Gamatan village, Miga local Government.
Adam explained that the misunderstanding led to physical combat where the suspect allegedly used his leg and hit his brother’s wife at her stomach and as a result she fell down.
He said the victim was rushed to Jahun General Hospital for treatment and later confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
The Police spokesman, however, said the suspect was arrested at Hadejia while trying to escape.
He said the Jigawa State Police Commissioner has directed that the case be transferred to the State SCID for discrete investigation.
