A man has done an unbelievable thing by refusing to tell anybody even his wife that he won a staggering $2 million Missouri Lotto jackpot.
Robert Bowlin and his wife
The man won $2million lottery win and kept it a secret from his wife so that he can give her a Christmas surprise of a lifetime.
The man identified as Robert Bowlin, of Platte City, won a Missouri Lotto jackpot in early December, splitting a $4 million prize with another person who matched all six numbers.
Although Bowlin, a retired operating engineer, discovered he had won on December 3, he didn't collect his winnings until December 29 and his wife never knew about the win.
He only notified a financial adviser and a CPA, but otherwise didn't tell anyone until Christmas Day - so he could give his wife an amazing surprise.
The father-of-three says he hasn't made any plans for his winnings. Bowlin, who has two grandchildren, purchased his winning ticket from Trex Mart 2 in Tracy. The store will receive $2,500 for selling one of the winning tickets.
