An Indian teenager has told the shocking story of how she was allegedly subjected to a horrific two-week gang rape by three men who held her captive and then left her for dead.

The 14-year-old girl, who remains anonymous for legal reasons was allegedly kidnapped from her home while walking to a market in West Delhi to buy milk.

She revealed all the chilling encounter after she survived the horrifying ordeal. She said: "I didn’t want to die. I had to see my mother again. I was not going to die that night.

"I tried shouting but they put a cloth into my mouth and quickly tied my hands and legs with rope so I couldn’t escape.

"I was terrified. I think I knew what was going to happen. I still tried to struggle, I wasn’t going to give in easily."

She added: "Every time they gave me water or any food they raped me. There was nothing I could do. I just looked away and closed my eyes.

"I could smell alcohol on their breath but they never said a word to me, they just raped me and then left. I was determined to fight my way out of the hell.

"I didn’t let myself think for one minute that I was going to die."

The teen said that after a fortnight of being held, the men announced they would let her go but instead, drove her to a well where they shot her twice - one bullet hit her in the chest - where she passed out.

But, she didn't give up. She bravely pulled out the bullet from her chest, while another was still lodged in her body. The girl said she woke up inside the well and was only rescued on December 6 when local villagers heard her screams. Eventually a man heard her cries and saved her, pulling her out of the well with rope.

Afraid he might be blamed for the girl’s injuries he called other villagers and eventually called the police, before she was taken to Yatharth Wellness hospital, in Greater Noida, west Delhi, in northern India. As soon as she saw her mother she said she was overcome with relief.
