It was a very emotional scene when the commissioner of police in Bayelsa visited a royal who was a victim of the violence that happened in the course of the recently held election in the state.

Bayelsa monarch, popularly known as 'Progress Never Die' who was shot in post-election violence in Bayelsa is struggling for his life in a hospital in Yenagoa.
Bayelsa state police commissioner, Peter Ogunyanwo paid him a visit in the hospital (name withheld for security purposes). He struggled to hold his emotions as he was almost moved to tears on seeing the monarch.
It was gathered that just before the monarch was wheeled into the theatre for a major operation, Ogunyawo removed his cap, held the monarch on the arm and prayed for him for about three minutes.
It should be recalled that Peremambiri King, Progress Never die was shot by gunmen during a clash that ensued between his supporters and that of a popular youth leader named Eris Paul popularly known as Ogunbos in a post-election crisis.
