The men of the Rivers State Police Command have intercepted an armed robbery syndicate leading to the death of two of their members while another was arrested alive.

The police patrol team in Rivers state on Wednesday, 12th of January engaged some men of the underworld in a heavy shootout following a tip-off of an armed robbery operation at a filling station along East-West Road by Etohu, a suburb of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The policemen stormed the scene and chased the fleeing suspects as two were caught up in the gun battle with the security operatives. Luck ran out of the two members as they met their demise in the course of the gun duel.
One of the armed robbers, Emeka Eze was later arrested. He is currently being interrogated by the police pending on his prosecution in court.
