The Ministry of Youth and Sport has announced the names of the eight Nigerian athletes that have been banned from sports after they tested positive for substance use.
Nigeran athletes
The Minister of Youth and Sport, Solomon Dalung listed the athletes who tested positive to banned drugs and have now all been banned from sporting activities.
They include; Samson Idiata (Athletics) Sunday Ezeh (Para-athletics), Thomas Kure (Para-powerlifting) Patience Opuene (Wrestling), James Igbadiwei, Deborah Odeyemi and Chinazom Amadi.
They were reported to have tested positive at the 2015 All Africa Games held in Congo and have been banned for 4years except, a weightlifter, Elizabeth Owuah who was banned for eight years.
