Police Arrest 70-year-old Man For Defiling 7-year-old Girl In Bauchi
A 70-year-old man identified as Alhaji Umaru Daura has been arrested by police operatives attached to Zone 12 Command headquarters in Bauchi State for having unlawful carnal knowledge of his neighbour’s seven-year-old daughter.
This was revealed in a press release signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), Thomas Goni in Bauchi on Tuesday.
Goni, a Superintendent of Police (SP), stated that the incident happened at Kawo Rauta village, in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The zonal police image maker stated that the victim’s father, one Alhaji Habu, reported the case to the police, saying that, “the suspect was caught red-handed defiling my seven-year-old daughter.”
Goni added that the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12, Bauchi, AIG Audu A. Madaki, has directed that the suspect be charged to court after completion of investigation.
