According to Ejiofor, the DSS refused to allow some lawyers and respectable personalities who came from different parts of the state to witness the trial of Kanu.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has narrated how they were denied access to the court by the judge and operatives of the Department of State Security Service.
According to him, the DSS refused to allow some lawyers and respectable personalities who came from different parts of the state to witness the trial of Kanu.
He said the decision of the DSS was unlawful which they protested.
However, to their shock, they were locked out of the court room before the judge adjourned the sitting without their notice.
