The commercial capital of Nigeria with an unofficial population of 23 million people currently is an aberration of its admirable state in 1910.

Reports have it that Lagos state which is the beehive of commercial activities in the country with biting problems of overpopulation, insecurity, traffic congestion, high cost of living amongst others used to be a perfectly organised serene place to live in.
 
This is Breadfruit Street, circa  in 1910 and historians said it was so organized and clean with the gutters freely following with reduced menace of mosquitoes. The street is next to Lagos Island and is host to St Paul's Anglican Church
