Armed Robbers Attack and Rob Enyimba Players in Kogi

The management of the Nigerian Premier League champions Enyimba have confirmed that armed robbers attacked the team around Okene, Kogi state on the way to Kaduna for the Super Four tournament.

Suspected armed robbers attacked players of Enyimba Football Club of Aba in the Okene area of Kogi state on Monday.
 
The players were heading to Kaduna for the Super 4 tournament when the incident happened.
 
The champion of the Nigerian premier league confirmed the attack through some messages posted on Twitter, saying players and officials were “stripped of their valuables”.
 
They wrote: “We can confirm that our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour.”

“Thankfully, there were no injuries during this unfortunate incident. Players and officials were however stripped of all valuables.”
