Governor Seriake Dickson
In what he tagged; "callous politicking," re-elected Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, yesterday blasted his All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent in the just concluded governorship election, Chief Timipre Sylva, indicating that the souls lost in the election made him not to celebrate his victory.
"Whenever I think of the deaths of our own people, most of them killed because they supported me, I feel terribly sad and asked the people of the state that although their will prevailed and I won, we have to keep it low as a mark of honour to those souls who deserved to live and benefit from the democracy they contributed to enthrone," he said.
Dickson said he had wished Sylva would congratulate him, allow reconciliation and let peace prevail in the state.
